Travel

Bressanone can be easily reached by plane, train or car. It is accessible via the Brenner Pass from the north, via Bolzano/Bozen from the south.

Airplane

The main airports closest to Bressanone are Verona to the south and Innsbruck to the north. Bressanone is less than two hours by train and car from both of them. Additional airports in the area include: Venezia, Treviso, Bergamo, Milan and Munich.

There is also a South Tyrol airport, located at Bolzano/Bozen. It is a regional airport, with direct flights currently available from Rome, Berlin or Düsseldorf.

Train

Bressanone train station is along Brenner railway, and therefore is connected to Verona (2h trip) and Innsbruck (1h30′). The train journey from Milan lasts about 4 hours.

The station of Bressanone is located just a few minutes’ walk from the old town. Buses from the station to the town are available.

Car

Bressanone can be easily reached also by car, since the city is along the A22 Brenner Motorway, with a direct exit to the city.
